Switching your broadband provider is simple with Airband. Once you place your order with us, we advise you wait until you’re installed and then contact your current provider to end your contract. This will ensure you won’t be left without an internet connection.

This can depend on a number of factors but typically it can take about two weeks to get broadband up and running at a new address. We advise you not to cancel your existing contract until you’ve spoken with your new provider and your service is active.

There is no cost to switching internet providers.

However, depending on your current contract, there may be early termination fees you need to pay to your current provider. You will need to speak to them to find this out. If you’re switching to Airband, we can help cover these costs (up to 6 months’ worth).

If your current supplier has not been providing you with consistent service, you can also cancel for free as they may be in breach of contract.

You certainly can! However, you will need to check your current contract or speak to your current provider to find out what is involved.

If your current supplier has not been providing you with consistent service, you can also cancel for free as they may be in breach of contract.

There is no one answer for this. Typically people look to switch provider when they come to an end of a contract with their current provider. However, you can choose to switch at any time if you find a better deal or aren’t getting the service you want.

Airband often have broadband deals running so check out our homepage for our latest offers.

Your current broadband provider will need to be told that you are switching providers. You can let them know yourself but we advise waiting until you are installed with your new provider first.

One Touch Switch is a new process where your new provider will handle the switch over to them from your current provider. Your new provider will inform your current provider whilst you get sent any important information from both. All you will need to do is consent to the switch happening.

If you decide to switch to Airband (and let’s face it, why wouldn’t you?), you can choose to use One Touch Switch by calling us on 01905 676 121. We’ll take care of everything and let your current provider know. You can speak to us before or after you place your order to find out any more information on how this works. Please note that this service is only available on orders placed over the phone with us.

Yes. Airband doesn’t use your phone line so there’s no monthly line rental charge. This means you can keep your landline phone number or explore the magic of VoIP (Voice over internet protocol) to stream all calls through your fantastic new Airband internet connection. That’s one less monthly charge to deal with – a great win for you and your bank account!

No –  thankfully, MAC codes haven’t been needed since 2015, when Ofcom introduced new rules to make switching broadband providers much simpler.
