Airband’s growth in 2025 reached its latest milestone with the rural broadband provider going past the 30,000 customers’ landmark in the final quarter of the year. The brand’s 30,000th customer was connected in Wrexham, North Wales, which is one of the first areas to benefit from the rollout of Airband’s award-winning Gigabit Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology.
Airband is committed to tackling digital exclusion and bringing hyperfast connectivity to underserved country communities. Since refocusing the business on innovation and connecting customers in 2024 under the leadership of CEO Kash Rahman, Airband has experienced exponential growth in both revenue and net customers.
The brand’s approach to connecting rural areas in England and Wales has been recognised both nationally and internationally with Airband winning the Technical Innovation Award at the Connected Britain Awards and the World Communication Awards prize for Connecting Communities.
Kash Rahman, Airband CEO commented: “This customer milestone is another proud moment, in what has been a great year for Airband. Our focus on innovating to serve country communities that have been left behind by traditional broadband rollouts is working both for the business and the audiences we serve. We are committed to being customer first and the best is yet to come!”
Airband is already planning to further develop its award-winning Gigabit Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) technology network in 2026 to expand its reach while maintaining the company’s core mission of delivering reliable, high-speed broadband to rural and underserved areas. The brand now serves Devon, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire and North Wales and has recently brought FTTP solutions to the village of Ewelme in Oxfordshire.
Airband portfolio of broadband solutions includes gigabit-speed wireless broadband, fibre, 4G, and FTTC, ensuring every customer—no matter their location—has access to affordable, reliable internet.
