What is SoGEA broadband?

SoGEA (Single Order Generic Ethernet Access) is a broadband-only connection that combines two types of cabling:

• Fibre runs from the local exchange to your nearest green street cabinet.
• Copper then connects from the cabinet to your home.

Essentially, it’s fibre-to-the-cabinet broadband without a landline, and is the technology behind our Fibre Switch package.

This setup gives you speeds of up to 80Mbps – much faster and more reliable than copper-only or ADSL broadband.
