Worcestershire County Council’s cabinet has endorsed Airband Community Internet Ltd as the preferred supplier to deliver enhanced broadband to the 14 parish communities whose ‘Expressions of Interest’ were successful in January 2012.
These communities were identified as being in the final 10% of areas which may not otherwise receive more than 2Mbps download speeds. The project is a real step forward for the provision of rural broadband in Worcestershire.
Parishes include, Brockleton, Kyre, Hanley, Rochford, Eastham, Lindridge, Mamble, Bayton, Tibberton, Crowle, Hanbury, Stock and Bradley and Feckenham.
The project is expected to launch in the New Year.
