Set up guide for your My Voice softphone app

Here’s your step-by-step guide to setting up your Airband Talk softphone.

*Please Note – if you have had Airband Talk installed before 13th November 2024, you will need to click this link and set up using the Webex softphone app.

Minimum requirements:

  • Android 7.0 or later.
  • iPhone: requires iOS 11.0 or later
  • iPad: requires iPadOS 11.0 or later

Step 1

Open your email account on your computer and locate the email from [email protected] with the subject line ‘Your new communications service/express portal access’. If you don’t have this email, please contact us immediately at 01905 676 121 or [email protected].

In the email, you’ll find your new number. If you’re keeping your old number, it will appear here.

You’ll also find your username, domain name and a link to set up your business portal password. Click ‘Set password’.

Step 2

Create a strong password using upper- and lower-case letters, numbers, and a symbol. Save your password.

Step 3

You will receive an email confirming you have set your password.

You’ll be redirected to the login page. Log in using your username and domain name provided in the original email and the password you just created. Here you can manage settings for your service.

Now it’s time to download the app to your device.

Step 4

Grab the device you want to use to make and receive calls and download the ‘My Voice Service’ app from the App Store on iPhones or Google Play on Android devices.

Requirements:

  • Android 7.0 or later.
  • iPhone: requires iOS 11.0 or later
  • iPad: requires iPadOS 11.0 or later

Step 5

Open the My Voice Service app and sign in using your username, domain name and the password you just created.

Step 6

You will see some notifications and popups. Select “Allow” for each one.

Congratulations! You can now make and receive calls using the app.

Step 7

You’ll be prompted to go to settings. Click Settings. Here you can see your number, enable or disable voicemail and more.

Voicemail

Tap the voicemail icon at the bottom right. Then, click ‘Greetings’ at the top right. You can then either select the default voicemail greeting or record a personal one.

To access voicemails, you can also call 1571. Follow the audio prompts to set up your greeting and a secure PIN to protect your voicemails.

Make calls

Tap the keypad button at the bottom middle to access the dial pad. Make a test call to ensure everything is working correctly. You may see a notification pop up requesting access to your network. If so, click “Allow”.

Add contacts

Click ‘Contacts’ in the bottom right. Click ‘Import contacts’. You will see a popup asking to access your device’s contacts. Click “Allow”. You can then select and import the contacts from your device.

You’re all set to use your softphone!
